Imagine if you could make money in your spare time doing things you really loved. Imagine if you could generate an income out of your passions no matter where you were.

Sounds ridiculous. Right? Well, it doesn’t have to.

In this enveloping digital world, writers are easily making a good part-time if not full-time income working online. And guess what! They’re making a FORTUNE out of it.

This brings us to where we are now – financially burdened. So why do you think most of us are not financially free yet? – Because we’ve not done the right things.

I’m not a ‘get-rich guru’ but all I can say is – it takes time – a hell lot of time, effort and perseverance to be where we want to be.

But does that mean we should stop trying? Of course not!

I’ve been a freelance writer for quite a while now and I think it’s the best decision I ever made in my life.

I’ve somehow broken the code as to how to get the best out of my work – in terms of quality and cash.

No, I’m not a millionaire yet. But, I do make a decent amount of money to pay my bills and do whatever else I want to do.

I started off as a naïve writer. Someone who would easily say yes to everything. Someone who was too scared to get noticed.

But as time passed by –  I tried different ways to discover myself. I worked for different people. I took chances. I dared.

People didn’t believe in me. In fact, I never wanted them to.

But here I am today… 

Now in case you’re wondering how I do what I do. There’s a long story. But let me cut it short for you.

I’ve struggled like hell getting cheap writing gigs on content mills from my earliest days. (You should never do that, here’s why).

I’ve written, rewritten and re-rewritten so much craps I don’t even remember.

I had tried my hands at blogging before this with my old websites. I failed.

I’ve written content for wrong people. They told me it’d be great. They lied. They didn’t know what they were doing. That shit was useless.

But I still consider myself lucky enough to have had the life I have.

I wouldn’t have known what I know today, had I not tried all those things in my past.

I’ve emailed hundreds of random people.

I’ve skyped with people I didn’t even know existed.

I’ve cold-called people in the United States. I still do it today (it’s just more than fun, trust me).

All to get the clients who are exactly right for me.

Today, I write for myself and a couple of people who I believe are right for me.

For those of you who still think it’s not your cup of tea. Let me tell you something – it’s only hard until you start – and until you get your first client.

Don’t be afraid of failure, everyone’s a beginner at some point.

Ditch that idea of building a fancy CV.

CVs are for suckers who don’t know how to key a genuine person out from the crowd.

All you need is a good sense of writing.

Stop comparing your beginning to someone else’s middle.

There has never been a better time to be a freelance writer.
